Job Description: Major duties, responsibilities and qualifications
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience as a service manager, assistant service manager or service advisor in a dealership or service center,
- Service department point-of-sale experience,
- Experience using integrated dealership management software,
- Ability to quickly learn new systems & processes,
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Management Responsibilities:
- Continually improve our customers’ experience,
- Develop a solid dependable high functioning service team,
- Grow service volume and profitability,
- Stay current on industry trends and capitalize on new opportunities,
- Develop promotional events in conjunction with parts & sales departments.
- Identify and monitor daily, weekly, monthly and annual department objectives,
- Deliver revenue and expense objectives,
- Report service performance to dealership management team in weekly staff meetings.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage work to provide the best experience to the greatest number of customers,
- Match repair order difficulty with technician ability,
- Establish department policies and procedures,
- Ensure a clean and professional work environment,
- Monitor, evaluate and record employee performance,
- Coach and empower employees to achieve their full potential,
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and discipline,
