About MyMotorcycleJobs

OUR VISION
The vision of MyMotorcycleJobs is to become the motorcycle/powersports industry’s premier resource for employment opportunities. Beginning in the United States, MyMotorcycleJobs will one day become the worlds most recognized source of finding employment in this vast and growing industry.

Founded in June of 2005 by Otto Geyer and Don Shaw, it was determined through investigation that while there are very few Internet specific web sites focused on the motorcycle industry jobs, none employed the power of both the Internet and print media to disseminate information on employment opportunities for this growing motorcycle and powersports industry. Now with one price, employers can post jobs that will reach a vastly greater number of prospects.

OUR MISSION
MyMotorcycleJobs is a totally new revolutionary concept in motorcycle industry job boards. Our site is designed exclusively for the motorcycling and powersports specific industry. The business model of MyMotorcycleJobs is to use the collective power of motorcycle related print media and web sites to promote and disseminate information regarding its password protected database of personal resumes along with the public display of job offerings.

MyMotorcycleJobs success will greatly depend on building a viable profit sharing program through strategic affiliations and alliances with industry related web sites and print media publications as well as recognition by industry associations, counsels and educational institutions. Furthermore, MyMotorcyleJobs.com will share its financial gains with not only those who assist in its growth, but it will also give to those who give their all; our men and women of the Armed Forces of these United States. May God keep and bless them one and all.

THE STORY OF MYMOTORCYCLEJOBS
When riding a motorcycle it’s not uncommon as we pass another rider from opposite directions to stick out a hand in a gesture of "great to see you and ride safe". This camaraderie also extends to another unwritten law; you should never pass another rider who appears to be broke down without stopping to offer a hand. This is the principle in which MyMotorCycleJobs is built; to help others find employment in this wonderful and growing motorcycling/powersports industry.

The motorcycle industry has seen consistent and sustaining growth over the past 12 years. In the words of Tim Buche, president of the Motorcycle Industry Counsel, "Our industry's 12-year growth cycle is nothing short of spectacular". He further states, “Since 1998 there has been a 34% increase in the number of motorcycles in use in the United States. Motorcycles have become an iconic representation of freedom and individualism in American culture”. The estimated 2003 U.S. retail sales of motorcycles and related products totaled over $14 billion dollars. It’s the opinion of many industry experts that this growth will continue for at least the next 10 year fueled by the popularity of motorcycling by the Baby-Boomer generation (cruisers) as well as young adults. (café racers).

Furthermore, rising fuel costs could also increase the use and demand for more fuel efficient means of transportation. As such the need for a steady influx of manpower will be needed to support this growth. As is evident from the increasing enrollment into technical and vocational schools, job placement will also become a significant challenge for these schools.
